Young Legs’ Petal and the Page is Well Worth the Wait
Young Legs released his newest album, The Petal and the Page, in December on Mint 400 Records. Impressively, Steve Donahue wrote, recorded, and mastered the album himself, and with over a dozen musicians featured through the course of ten songs, it is a collaborative feat in true DIY spirit.
Although this album was released in winter, the songs evoke spring and the changing of the seasons. Featuring a range of orchestral instruments, this album is made up of ten lush tracks filled with emotion and introspection. The first song, appropriately named “Daffodil,” eases the listener in with an atmospheric ballad that maintains its energy, something Young Legs excels at.
